Nerd Louisville is a registered 501(c)3 charitable non-profit.
Why Nerd Louisville?
We established Nerd Louisville when we discovered that there was a vibrant and active community of people interested in all types of nerdy activities in Louisville, but that many of those people were scattered around the city in disparate groups. We wanted to change that, so we created Nerd Louisville to make it easier for nerds to connect and become friends.
Nerd Louisville’s goal isn’t to supersede or absorb the already existing nerd groups in Louisville, but to create a platform that enables groups to connect with each other and grow organically.
Since our inception, Nerd Louisville has fostered a strong and interconnected community, established a mini-convention (Nerdlouvia), and developed a charitable initiative (Next-gen Nerds) to support at-risk youth.
In 2018, we hope to do even more, but we can’t do that alone, so we hope that you’ll help us.
Nerd Louisville’s mission is to make Louisville, Kentucky the most awesome nerd city in the universe. We do that by:
Fostering a sense of community
Providing a hub to connect local nerds
Promoting Louisville as a nerd destination
Educating, inspiring, and empowering local youth.
Educating, Inspiring and Empowering Local Youth
Nerd Louisville’s mission is to make Louisville, Kentucky the most awesome nerd city in the universe by fostering a sense of community, providing a hub to connect local nerds, and by promoting Louisville as a nerd destination. We also seek to educate, inspire, and empower local youth. In pursuit of our mission, we have created the Next-Gen Nerds initiative, an initiative focused around the youth in our community and helping to cultivate the next generation of nerds in and around Louisville.
According to a report from The Urban Institute, research suggest that community-based collaborations are the best hope for helping at-risk youth, and we want to do our part to engage local youth and open up a new worlds of possibility to them.

Compass Improv Festival
Compass Improv was born in 2012 out of the desire to host an Improv festival showcasing the best of the St. Louis improv community and exposing local audiences to national performers. Five years later, what began as a festival has grown into a multi-faceted community organization committed to promoting improv throughout the St. Louis region through events and community outreach.
St. Louis played a fundamental role in the evolution of improv.
The city’s improv roots date back to the Compass Players, a team of actors who established the basic principles of improv– the Kitchen Rules– during a residence at St. Louis’ Crystal Palace Theater in the Gaslight District during the 1950s.
Members of the Compass Players went on to form the Second City and iO theaters in Chicago, which produced talented actors ranging from John Belushi, Gilda Radner and Bill Murray to Tina Fey, Steve Carrell and Stephen Colbert.
Compass Improv takes its name from those original pioneers of the art form.

Gym Towels LLC
Unless you lift for a living, hardly anyone has time to go to the gym. If you’re like us, you have to sacrifice sleep, breaks, time with family, time with friends and so on to keep up with your fitness goals. No one wants to also devote time to hygiene especially after you’re already spent from a great workout.
This is where we come in!
Fast, easy, phenomenally scented, and super convenient. We have your back no matter what you have going on after the gym. So get that extra rep in. Go that extra mile (literally). Let us worry about the time you would have spent in the shower or washing up!
Gym Towels official release date was January 1, 2018. After several months of designs, developments, research, trails and errors, we finally came up with items that are appealing and sellable in stores. Although our Gym Towels line is officially in production, our work is still not done. As long as our customers are looking to improve their bodies, we will always be looking for ways to improve our products.
Located in Louisville Kentucky! We are home to the Kentucky Derby, Louisville Slugger bats, Muhammad Ali, and the Louisville Cardinals athletic teams!
In today’s day and age, everyone is tapped when it comes to TIME. Especially those of us who have decided to take our physical health seriously.
Gym Towels is introducing some of the most revolutionary products the fitness industry has ever seen!
